PORTLAND, ORE. (PRWEB) MARCH 03, 2023

The Better Meat Co. is a Sacramento-based sustainable food tech start-up founded in 2018. As a business-to-business ingredients provider, it pioneers new ways of producing animal-free protein via fermentation, generating ingredients like Rhiza that empower food companies to improve sustainability while making the meatiest alt-protein possible. Partners include Hormel Foods, Perdue Farms, and Maple Leaf Foods.

"Conventional meat production consumes vast natural resources and studies have shown that a single kilo of beef can create 70kg of emissions. The future of food needs to be Green and The Better Meat Co. is leading the way with an innovative business model and product. They are just getting started and we are excited to share the story with investors," said Invest.Green CEO Andrew McLean.

"Just as we must find ways to power our civilization that are less reliant on fossil fuels, so too must we find ways to feed our civilization that are less reliant on animals," said Paul Shapiro, CEO of The Better Meat Co. "We're honored to have been invited to join the Invest.Green platform and look forward to working with fellow members to build a more sustainable future for all of us."
