Our beef-specific enhancer reduces your costs while improving yields and blending well at a one-third minimum ratio in applications such as burgers, meatballs, and taco meat.

Our customers demand high protein. When we incorporate Better Meat Co. formulas into our meat products, will our protein levels change?

Not one bit! In fact, our formulations are likely to increase your protein levels and yield. Your customers shouldn't have to compromise––that's why we're helping you make meat better in every way.

I've seen other companies just blending mushrooms into their meat. Why are Better Meat Co. formulas better?

Mushrooms can work well in a burger, but not so much in other meats. Plus, mushrooms are often more expensive than most meat, subtract a lot of protein from the final product, and can contribute to shrinkage during cooking.

While The Better Meat Co. uses delicious mushrooms as a component in some formulas, our products are cost-competitive, roughly maintain (or even increase) protein levels, and don't cause shrinkage. To the contrary: they actually improve juiciness!

Are your formulas the same for each product?

Our formulas are uniquely developed for each product. No two meats are the same, and we pride ourselves on offering the most convincing meat enhancers and alternatives. In fact, we can even develop any custom formulation you desire. The possibilities are endless!

What inclusion rate do you recommend?

We recommend starting with a one-third inclusion rate, but there is no minimum or upper limit to your inclusion of our formulations. In the end, it depends upon what kind of product you are creating, and we're here to help you find the perfect inclusion rate for any situation.

What about TVP? Why are Better Meat Co. formulas better than standard TVP?

TVP is limited by its inclusion rate––past 5-10% inclusion rate, TVP begins to interfere with the texture and flavor of the end product. Plus, it adds no fiber. Our formulations enhance your meat, improving nutrition, texture, and yield!
